Our Mission
To support the firefighters of the Northern Pendleton Fire District in their pursuit of Life Safety, Incident Stabilization, and property conservation of the citizens they serve. The mission is completed by holding fundraising functions to benefit the above efforts, obtaining non-profit grant funds and sponsoring events to support the overall morale of all personnel and the community.
Northern Pendleton Fire District’s History
The Northern Pendleton Fire District is responsible for Fire and EMS coverage to a forty-three (43) square mile response area of the northeastern portion of Pendleton County, as well as protecting the City limits of Butler. Our department operates from three stations with a combination of staffing, including a full-time fire chief, part-time career staffing, and volunteer personnel. We presently utilize two basic life support ambulances, three engines, one engine/tender, one water tender, one heavy rescue, two brush units, and one utility vehicle.
Our department was established in 1969 and is funded via KRS 75 as a special taxing district. We are committed to providing the best service to our community while ensuring the core values of integrity, servic,e and excellence.
